Moreh Police have detained Nine Myanmarese nationals including three traffickers. All these were illegally trying to enter in India. All these were carrying fake Aadhaar cards.
A police team led by SP of Tengnoupal has arrested this cross-border human trafficking gang. Police were checking all vehicles at Chinkim Veng near Moreh police out-post on Sunday. Here, police arrested 10 passengers in two vans. Out of these 10 passengers in the vehicles, nine turned out to be Myanmarese and one woman was an Indian trafficker. She was identified as one Paritha Begum, a resident of Shree Ram Nagar, Edappallayam, Chennai.
Yesterday, Chief Minister N. Biren Singh has also done a press conference in this regard. He expressed his worries regarding the high possibility of an influx of illegal migrants in the state.
He shared that state government will have a security point will be kept at Imphal Tulihal airport to check the credentials of all arriving passengers and also ordered to decommission all the common service centres for Aadhaar enrolment in the state.
