During the launch of ‘Emerging Northeast 2018’, Manipur Governor Najma Heptulla said, “If we exclude Assam, there is hardly any sort of industries in Northeast states. I think, we should focus in this regard too. There should be some concern to made industrial areas in other states. This can be only possible by having improved communication to all other states in North-eastern region.”
In her addressing speech, Najma Heptulla stressed over the requirement for industrialization and better communication in the Northeastern region. She further added that since past one and half years, there are lots of schemes launched by the Government for the benefit of people. The government is also promoting these schemes by organizing events to make people aware about these schemes.
Speaking about the event, she stated, “It gives me true pleasure that women are having a large participation in this sort of events. Generally, we all have noticed that women have been neglected, but in this region, it is not true. In Manipur state, every woman is an independent woman. In Manipur, we have a market where around six thousand women work and they are financially supporting their families too.”
Manipur Governor has also appreciated ASSOCHAM for conducting Emerging North East 2018. Secretary General of ASSOCHAM, DS Rawat said, “ASSOCHAM would love to act as handholding support for entrepreneurs from technology, finance and marketing. In other states of North East region, ASSOCHAM will start working with state government and agencies of central government.”
With the availability of better connectivity, now Northeast seems smaller. We can easily find everything for everyone here in this region only. But, we still lack in terms of scientific knowledge. Application of scientific technology in each sector can surely boost the development rate. ‘Emerging Northeast 2018’ is certainly an excellent event for the farmers. Here, they will be learning a lot of things that are possible to utilize in their day to day lives.”
There is a huge participation by farmers, agri-preneurs, entrepreneurs and experts from the food industry in this event.
