On the occasion of Cheiraoba, Governor of Manipur Dr.Najma Heptulla along with Chief Minister N.Biren Singh has wished all the Manipuri people in the state. Several other ministers like Forest Minister Th. Shyamkumar and Minister Th. Bishwajit Singh has also given their good wishes to all residents of Manipur.
In her message, the governor of Manipur Dr. Najma Heptulla said, “This festival symbolizes the start of new year for the Hindu Meitei. However, this festival is celebrated by every household in the state. Cheiraoba is about the transition from the old to the new and also, signs of the arrival of spring. Certainly, it is an occasion to be celebrated with great enthusiasm. It rekindles the hopes for a better tomorrow.”
The Governor of Manipur Dr. Najma Heptulla appealed the people to take the oath of working together and also to destroy bad elements of the society on this festival day. She also asked for giving their best input on the progress and development of Manipur.
Chief Minister N Biren Singh also wished and shared in his message, Cheiraoba herald the message of unity amongst us and love for everyone. We should celebrate this festival by enriching our minds with new hopes. Let Cheiraoba bring better understanding, peace and prosperity for all in Manipur state.
