You might not believe it, but it is true. A 36-year-old math tutor from China is not a billionaire and all this is because of his tutoring job.
TAL Education Group—a Beijing-based provider of tutoring services, now has the company’s second billionaire. Chinese tutor Liu Yachao is the Chief operating officer. He is the second billionaire after TAL’s other founder, Zhang Bangxin. The market value of company’s stock is booming and making its tutor earn handsomely well.
Chinese parents spend over $42,892 on the education of their kids. Here, demand for tutors is really high. As a result, TAL’s market value in today’s date is over $21.1 billion.
Liu Yachao was the first math teacher to join this company. He has 4.7 percent stake in the company and now its worth is around $1billion.
