On Tuesday, the joint of Manipur police and Assam Rifles arrested a woman cadre of United National Liberation Front. UNLF is a banned organization. As per the police statement, this arrest held in Leitanpokpi area in the East district.
On the same day, one more search operation held in Andro Lupaochum Leikai in Imphal East district. Security forces arrested one member of the Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP). This one is an active member of this rebel outfit.
As per the available reports, this arrest becomes possible after one member of Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL) was held from Wangkhei Loumanbi area in Imphal East district on Saturday. On Saturday, forces have arrested two others. They were having a connection with Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF). These arrests were held from a check gate at Chini Ingkhol in Bishnupur district.
In total, five rebels have been arrested in the last few days.
