Manipur CM Nongthombam Biren Singh is the first chief minister from BJP. He stated that Bharatiya Janata Party will be the one party that can form governments in Nagaland and Tripura in next elections for state assemblies. However, he showed some kind of doubts about win in Meghalaya.
CM Nongthombam Biren Singh said, “BJP will surely be in far better position than the Left Front in Tripura state. And, BJP will form government along with its alliance partner IPFT.  All the residents of Tripura want to see positive change as they have noticed Assam and Manipur. Left’s defeat will be written and anti-incumbency will become one of the various reasons of this defeat.
He added further that efforts of BJP General Secretary, Ram Madhav and Northeast Democratic Alliance (NEDA) convenor, Himanta Biswa Sarma, would write the historic victory of the party in Tripura.
There are elections on February 18 in in Tripura and February 27 in Nagaland and Meghalaya. People will be voting for forming state governments in these three states. Vote counting will take place on 3rd of March.
About Nagaland also, CM has shown positive confidence. According to him, BJP is going to form government in this state too.  Along with National Democratic People’s Party and under the leadership of former CM and Lok Sabha MP Neiphiu Rio, this will be happening.
However, Biren Singh was not that confident about Meghalaya. He said, “There is a chance of post-poll alliance with the National People’s Party in Meghalaya. Well, there is a possibility of repeating Manipur scenario in Meghalaya.”
