In New Zealand, a lady minister has covered path of many kilometers from her home to hospital’s maternity ward on a bicycle.
Green Party MP Julie Anne Genter did this in her 42nd week of pregnancy. Genter is a strong cycling advocate. She is working as Minister for Woman and Associate Minister for Transport and for Health. US-born Genter has been the Member of Parliament since 2011.
Sunday morning, Genter has posted on Instagram about her ride to Auckland City Hospital. Along with one photograph, she wrote, “Beautiful Sunday morning for a bike ride, to the hospital, for an induction to finally have this baby. This is it, wish us luck! (My partner and I cycled because there wasn’t enough room in the car for the support crew… but it also put me in the best possible mood!)”

Well, she truly loves cycling. While announcing her pregnancy, she shared on the Facebook, one picture of a couple on bikes with a baby saying “we’re going to have to get an additional seat for the bikes.”
The Green Party tweeted that Genter’s pregnant cycle ride was “the most onbrand thing ever.”
