Yesterday, Manipur Chief Minister N.Biren Singh was addressing reporters on the sidelines of the joint Meeyamgi Numit and Hill Leaders’ Day held at chief minister’s secretariat. N.Biren Singh stated that his government will always take people’s wish into account before making any final decision on every issue related to this state.
Regarding deferment of the special session of the state Assembly, CM clarified that the special session was earlier summoned as there was an apprehension about the introduction of a Bill on the possible solution to the Naga issue. However, it did not happen, as such; the special session of the state Assembly was also deferred.
Manipur Chief Minister also mentioned that Prime Minister had asked to trust the central government as the central government would consult the state government if any final solution to the Naga issue affects state’s interest.
Manipur Chief Minister further added that such a huge turnout on Meeyamgi Numit and Hill Leaders’ Day shows people’s confidence and trust in the new government and we will put over best effort to live up to people’s expectations.
