Incessant rains over the past two days have triggered a landslide along the National Highway-37. About 50 metres stretch of the National Highway has been blocked by debris brought down by the landslide in between Sinam village and Laijang near milestone no. 35.
Luikham Lanmiyo, additional SP Noney has shared that Movement of vehicles from both ends of the NH-37 has been closed until the landslide affected areas were completely safe to travel.
According to Irrigation and Flood Control Department (IFCD), the water level of most of the rivers is above warning level. Secretariat relief and disaster management department has also issued an alert on the basis of Indian meteorological department’s call about the possibility of heavy to very heavy rain from June 15.
