This does not sound true. But, he was the one behind over 400 robberies. Mohammad Imran, a 34-year-old man from Meerut in Uttar Pradesh was arrested last night for more than 400 robbery cases in nine years in Delhi. He was the mastermind of various motorcycle stolen cases. Police have recovered 12 stolen motorcycles too.
Accused used to come to Delhi from his home in Meerut. He was a frequent bus traveller. In Delhi, he had stolen various motorbikes from different commercial areas using master keys. His neighbours had seen him returning from Delhi with new motorcycles on daily basis.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (East Delhi) told media that Mohammad Imran is a resident of Lohiya Nagar in Meerut. Meerut is a renowned city of Uttar Pradesh, around 65 Km from the capital, New Delhi. He would travel from Meerut to Delhi on the bus and steal bike parked in any commercial area. He would steal two to four vehicles in a day.
Within few hours, accused had also accepted his involvement in 21 cases of automobile thefts. Delhi Police had admitted that this man had involvement in over 400 such cases.
