50 IIT alumni have quit their jobs and formed a political outfit. This group of fifty IITians has also approached the Election Commission to get approval over the name of their outfit “Bahujan Azad Party”. This political party will fight for the rights of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes.
Naveen Kumar who is an IIT Delhi graduate is the leader of this group. Naveen shared with the media that this group has all members from IIT. We all were here after quitting our full time jobs to serve the society. Now, we are doing ground work for this party and we have also applied to the Election Commission for approval of our party name and election sign.
He further added that we all are not in any sort of hurry and we are not planning for upcoming Lok Sabha polls. We will begin with contesting the 2020 Bihar assembly elections.
