On Wednesday, one teacher from one English-medium school in Kalamboli, Navi Mumbai, has been arrested for stripping a five-year-old student in class.
Class 1 student’s parents registered a complaint that student was in this condition because teacher punished him for whistling in the class. The child’s father stated that the class teacher humiliated his son by removing his trousers and making him stand in his underpants in front of students in the class.
Senior inspector of Kalamboli police station has confirmed that class teacher has been charged with cruelty to child under section 75 of the Juvenile Justice Act, 2015. He was later presented in court and released on bail of Rs 15,000.
