Tamenglong battalion of 23 Assam Rifles has done a superb job for 44 (National Defence Academy) NDA aspirants of Tamenglong. The battalion has given free accommodation and transportation services up to Imphal to all of them.

As per the released statement, Tamenglong district is severely facing lack of awareness of various public examinations. The Tamenglong battalion initiative was a small step to overcome this hurdle.

Tamenglong battalion had also opened an online registration centre for UPSC Entrance Examination 2018. 44 candidates from this district got registered for the exams and they were also given free coaching for written examinations.
