Yesterday, Maoist Communist Party Manipur warned the Imphal Valley
Academy, over failure to response to the party’s request for
consideration of the fee structures.
A statement by the Maoist Communist Party Manipur said that it had
taken up the matter last February but since the response did not come
the bomb was placed at the school. The party stated that Educational
institutes are working only for profit making and this crime would be
fought bitterly. We are not pushing for any monetary demand on the
educational institutes; the party informed stating that the placing of the
bomb was the only measure that the party could resort to.
The outfit also announced that these educational institutes should be
closed – Imphal Valley Academy Ghari, Meci Academy Keisampat,
Comet Academy Airport Road, Millennium Institute of Science, IPS-
Singjamei and Heritage Convent Uripok.
