Renowned Indian woman boxer MC Mary Kom is now in the final of women’s 45-48 kg category. Mary Kom has won against Anusha Dilruksh of Sri Lanka in her last match. In the ongoing 21st Commonwealth Games (CWG), this superb woman boxer from Manipur carved out a unanimous 5-0 verdict against the Sri Lankan fighter. In Gold Coast, her experience and superior technique stood her in good stead on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, Indian Male Boxers Naman Tanwar, Amit Panghal, Manoj Kumar, Mohammed Hussamuddin and Satish Kumar ensured addition of at least one medal each in the Indian Medal Counting. All of them have reached into the semi-finals of their respective weights categories.
Tuesday was the good day for Indian Boxing Team in the ongoing 21st Commonwealth Games. The day started with Amit Panghal win over Aqeel Ahmed of Scotland 4-1 in the 49-kilogram category. After this, Indian Boxer Naman Tanwar outplayed Samoa’s Frank Masoe. Naman won by a historical 5-0 verdict in the heavyweight category.
In the latter half of the day, Hussamuddin over powered Muilenga Everisto of Zambia in men’s 56kg category and Manoj Kumar defeated Australia’s Terry Nickolas 4-1 in the 69 kg category.  Satish Kumar also got the 4-1 decision in his favour in +91kg quarterfinals bout.
