Yesterday, CM N Biren Singh was addressing journalists in Meeyamgi Numit held at chief minister’s secretariat. Here, he said that state government will remove Common Service Centres (CSC) as an access point to provide Aadhaar related services. In place of these centres, the government recognised agencies will enrol and issue Aadhaar cards.
CM also shared his concern over illegal immigrants. He further added that special check-post with gates will be installed at all entry points of the state at Mao, Jiribam, Behiang and Moreh. The state government will go for stringent action against all those who will be giving passage to immigrants. All immigrants with valid identification documents are free to travel. CM also urged the people for avoiding renting their houses without proper verification of tenants.
In yesterday’s Meeyamgi Numit, CM met around 2500 people and heard over 780 complaints. He also shared with media that a monitoring cell has been installed to keep track of action initiated at his office. This cell would inform the complainants about the status of theirs.
