On Monday, Chief Minister N Biren Singh handed over a loan amount of Rs. 50,000 under Manipur State Co-operative Bank (MSCB) Ltd. to a 21-year-old differently-abled Hoineithem Haokip from Toitung village of Chandel district. This girl is an expert of making handmade flowers and bamboo stools.
Hoineithem Haokip was introduced by the officers of 19 Assam Rifles on June 7, at the secretariat. Considering her skills Biren directed MSCBL officials to arrange a soft loan for Hoineithem on that day. Hoineithem has both limbs paralysed due to Polio infection. Yet, she runs one small-scale arts and crafts enterprise at her village.
Hoineithem’s guardians, officers of 19 Assam Rifles and MSCBL managing director A. Subhash Singh were also present on this occasion.
