Yesterday, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Kiren Rijiju told media person that border issue with Myanmar will soon be resolved after discussion with all concerned stakeholders. Kiren Rijiju said that Indian Government will never compromise even for one inch of India’s land. He replied all this in the response of a question raised about the issue over border pillar number 81.
Union minister was addressing journalists in Classic Grande Hotel before he left Imphal. He further said that there should not be any misunderstanding as both countries have a memorandum of understanding regarding the installation of border pillars.
This recent border dispute was shared by the deputy commissioner of Tengnoupal district and he released a statement that Manipur has lost around three kilometres to Myanmar with fresh installation/erection of subsidiary pillars at Kwatha Khunou.
