BJP’s B S Yeddyurappa has taken oath as the 23rd chief minister of Karnataka. However, none of the council of ministers has sworn in today.
Congress leaders, including Ghulam Nabi Azad, Ashok Gehlot and Siddaramaiah have assembled at Mahatma Gandhi’s statue in Vidhan Soudha to protest against BS Yeddyurappa’s swearing-in as CM of Karnataka.
In a rare pre-dawn hearing, Supreme Court has already refused to stop BJP leader BS Yeddyurappa’s swearing-in as Karnataka Chief Minister.

Meanwhile, Tripura chief minister BIplab Kumar Deb has congratulated B S Yeddyurappa. Several BJP leaders were present in the oath ceremony. Union Minister Ananth Kumar has criticized Congress for their act of protest during the oath of BS Yeddyurappa.
