It was just a dream for many who are struggling to earn daily meals. Young ones living in a small hamlet of Moirang were not thinking about doing engineering from a renowned institution. But, Army stepped in and made it possible for 16 students from Bishenpur in Manipur. They have cleared the first leg of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).
Centre for Social Responsibility and Leadership (CSRL), a National level educational organization was in Bishenpur to coach them.
The Army said in a release, “It undertook a screening process with assistance from experts at CSRL and from a pool of 150 students, 18 were considered for the programme. Out of these students, 16 have cleared the JEE Mains and they will appear for JEE Advanced on May 20.”
