Chief Minister N Biren Singh shared his concern about victims of recent flood in the state during his meeting with the representatives of Indian Oil Corporation who had come to donate 500 cylinders to the flood-affected people.
CM appreciated IOC officials for showing interest in the Corporate Social Responsibility activities. He also shared that government will also build at least 20 houses in each of the 60 Assembly constituencies for homeless people. This will be done by utilizing Local Area Development Fund issued to the concerned legislators.
This flood was one of the worst since 1989. More than 1.8 lakh people have been affected due to the flash floods in the state. CM shared that this natural calamity has claimed seven lives, rendered 59,689 people homeless since 23,456 houses across 304 villages got damaged.
