Recently, the BJP president has been going around giving statements on various headline-making issues. Even after facing the setback of losing so many seats in the recent UP by polls Amit Shah is in pretty high spirits as he claimed that this setback will not hold them back and in the soon-to-come elections, BJP will come back with the even bigger majority than the last time to form the government once again. He says they have ample time to prepare for the elections this time around and the results will be that much better.
In the bypolls, BJP lost the precious constituencies of Gorakhpur and Phulpur. The enemy being the SP-BSP combine which has been on a flare in many of the UP’s biggest and strategically important constituencies. Amit Shah and the team are analyzing this defeat with their in-depth analysis and are looking for loopholes. The party has taken this defeat seriously but still, they deny showing any effect of weakness. Amit Shah confidently believes that the LS polls in UP and in the country as a whole will have the same results they had last time i.e BJP will win and form the government.
A bigger problem awaits the eager members of BJP as there have been attempts of an electoral pact between SP and BSP. This is bound to make things difficult for BJP but when Amit Shah was asked about this, his reply again came with unwavering confidence. He says the party is ready to take on the challenge. He concluded by saying there is no anti-incumbency and went to praise Narendra Modi for his schemes and tactics related to LPG distribution, electricity availability and toilets all around the country.
Well, when Amit Shah can speak confidently about his team, he can answer strongly about himself too. He was recently accused by Rahul Gandhi of being a murderer in the Sohrabuddin Case. To this, Amit Shah promptly said he has been completely discharged from all the alleged charges he had been facing. He acknowledged that he was targeted because of various political reasons. He shunned the Congress president’s claim of starting a new phase of government by personally targeting the Prime Minister.
Amit Shah continues that he believes starting a new phase in this country will be difficult for the young Congress President as this country is already swayed by one phase that is being led by Narendra Modi. He explains that India has moved miles away from the politics of caste, appeasement, and nepotism. He firmly replies this phase should not and will not change.
Rahul Gandhi has been constantly taking digs at the Prime Minister saying he has been “helping the scamster”. To this Amit Shah just quickly replies that Congress Leader can’t prove even a single allegation of involvement of even a single minister of BJP in any scam. He disses the performance of Rahul Gandhi in the five states where he took part in the elections. The huge defeats speak for themselves.
Narendra Modi is being backed by his entire party and NDA says Amit Shah and they will continue to do so as he takes on the elections in the Varanasi constituency once again. Amit Shah reaffirms that they will come back with an even larger majority. BJP and NDA continue slashing setbacks and remain unfazed even after the recent exit of TDP from NDA.
Combining this with the signs of Nitish Kumar exiting the alliance Amit Shah disses these constant changes of the political alliance a normal thing. He says this will not in any way affect the overall result.
