A 28 years-old woman Thanjiklu Remmei, wife of Milanpou Remmei of Namthalung village, Imphal West alleged that her two-months foetus was murdered by four persons after she was severely beaten up in public on June 6 this year. She alleged police inaction against those culprits responsible for the killing of her unborn child.
Thanjiklu Remmei said that on June 6 at around 6 pm when she was staying at the house of her niece located at Namthalung village-2 at Langol Laimanai, some people started destroying the house. They also assaulted her.  After that, Thanjiklu Remmei was taken to RIMS as the foetus started bleeding and the next day, she underwent an abortion in a private hospital.
MLA of Thangmeiband Assembly constituency, Khumukcham Joykishan has assured all assistance for justice to the affected lady.
