During an interview with Dawn newspaper in Islamabad, Pakistan’s Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has raised a question over the policy of using Pakistan-based militant groups for doing attacks on India.
The three-time, Prime Minister said that Militant organisations are active and we allow them to go beyond the international border. The whole world community had isolated our country for failing to counter terrorism.
His remark of this nature is important as elections in Multan are nearby. He further raised question over slow processing of the trials of Seven Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) members related to 2008 Mumbai attack.
During this interview, he evaded a question on the reason for his ouster and steered the conversation towards foreign policy and national security. He also mentioned about the poor GDP rate of Pakistan and blamed the three parallel governments’ structure for it.
