DGP Manipur, L.M Khaute has shared about a significant development in the case of May 9 IED attack near the BSF camp in Imphal West. In the explosion, two BSF jawan have lost their lives and three civilians were injured.
Director General of Police, L.M Khaute was addressing a press conference at Imphal West police station. He said four militant cadres were arrested from different places. This was an outcome of police from Imphal East, West and Thoubal districts.
He further added that massive operations were launched by the Manipur police in these three districts. Along with them, intelligence unit was also deployed to establish leads.
Manipur Police have recovered several materials used for making bombs including C4 explosive, remote control, five 9V batteries, an LED bulb and six pieces of carbon from these four militant cadres.
