On Wednesday, Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu was addressing the gathering in a function at the City Convention Centre organised to discuss ways to help increase the income of farmers.
Vice President suggested that there could be various fishery and aquarium projects in Manipur to increase the income of farmers since the state has sufficient rainfall around the year. Farmers of this state stand to gain considerably since the climatic condition is favourable.
Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu also met with tribal, who are practising shifting cultivation and asked them to gain modern knowledge in cultivation.
