Yesterday, Honourable Governor of the state felicitated the three gold medalists. This felicitation programme was attended by Letpao Haokip and families of the gold medalists, MC Mary Kom, Saikhom Mirabai Chanu and Khumukcham Sanjita Chanu. Governor, Najma Heptulla expressed her happiness and said that these three women have brought pride to our state by making a name in the international level.
She further added that she had also discussed with the Union Sports minister regarding Football Academy for the state.
Prior to this felicitation programme, the governor also had an interaction with the students of St. Mary and Sajik Tampak Government Higher Secondary School from Sajik Tampak, Chandel district.
