The Union Ministry of Home Affairs has arranged a meeting for the next level tripartite talk on the district creation issue and invited the State Government of Manipur and the United Naga Council (UNC) on May 19.
As per the available report, this next level tripartite talk will be held at Senapati district headquarters.
The United Naga Council had imposed an economic blockade on all the national highways. The group is protesting against the formation of new districts. Hence, the central ministry is mediating for the negotiation between UNC and the State Government.
This sort of last tripartite talk was held on March 23, 2018. During that meet, each party was agreed for having next level discussion on April 27 which was later, cancelled by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
