Chairman of Manipur pollution control board (MPCB) K. Radhakishore shared with Media that Central government has approved Rs 400 crores for cleaning of solid waste particles from Loktak Lake and 100 crores for similar work for Nambul River. These two projects for cleaning waste from Loktak and Nabul will be carried out for 15 years.
He was addressing media in the one day sanitization workshop on biological waste to the students of Regional Institution of Medical Sciences (RIMS).
He further added that Pollution Control Board is looking forward to hold a mega awareness program. For this, we also had a meeting with Chief Minister N Biren in this regard.
