In a joint operation of 5 JAK RIF of 9 Sector Assam Rifles and Bishenpur Commandos, several automatic weapons were recovered. The joint team got an input about such a huge weapon collection. After this, this joint team planned a search operation under the aegis HQ IGAR (South). All these weapons have been recovered by this joint team from Pat area of Ishok Makha Leikai, Bishenpur District.
In recent months, Assam Rifles has done various successful joint operations. However, this one is considered to be the most impactful search operations. With such huge recovery of weapons, this joint team has given a great shock to terror groups and also bounded them to remain silent for few more months. Hopefully, such successful operation will keep Assam peaceful for few more months
Spokesperson from Assam Rifles shared that this joint team has recovered various war weapons after a long search operation. This huge list of weapons includes four AK-56 Rifles, two M 16 Rifles and one A4 Rifle along with UBGL.
