ANJUMAN, local anti drug organization and Tulihal battalion of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) have worked as a combined team and got huge success in the yesterday’s operation at Lilong Haorebi Turel Ahanbi, Thoubal district. In its continued efforts towards drug free Manipur, team was able to apprehended five drug peddlers with the drugs of worth Rs 1,38,650.
These drug peddlers were identified as Md Kaimullah Mani (30 yrs), Md Habibullah (42 yrs), Md Abdul Noor (27 yrs), Md Farooque (31 yrs) and Md Nazaj Khan Afon. From them, recovered contraband items included 3800 SP capsules, one bottle of Codonz syrup, 100 N10 tablets, 15 grams of No.4 Drug Heroin and 93 WY tablets.
In another operation by the Tulihal Battalion, one man identified as Md Imtiyal Khan (28 yrs) from Lilong Haorebi Turel Ahanbi, Thoubal District was also arrested with one 9mm Pistol. He has also revealed that he was purchasing and selling illegal arms.
