Justice Ramalingam Sudhakar is the 5th Chief Justice of High Court of Manipur. He was appointed by the President of India on May 9, 2018.
Yesterday, the oath ceremony was held in the Darbar Hall, Raj Bhavan, Imphal. Prof. Jagdish Mukhi administered the oath of office to Justice Ramalingam Sudhakar.
Justice Ramalingam Sudhakar was born in Panapakkam Village, Vellore District, Tamil Nadu. He is a graduate from Loyola College, Chennai and obtained a law degree from Madras Law College.
He started practice in 1983 as an associate of Senior Advocate Shri Habibullah Badsha. Justice Ramalingam Sudhakar was appointed Judge of the Madras High Court in 2005. He was on the post of Judge of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir in 2016. In the year 2018, he was also Acting Chief Justice of High Court of Jammu & Kashmir.
