Aspirants to constable’s posts in the Manipur police department have called for a 48-hour bandh as the state government is not declaring the results of their recruitment exam. This exam was done in 2013 for recruiting 2000 police constables.
Protesting against the delay in results, the candidates have staged a sit-in demonstration in Imphal on Friday under the banner of “All Manipur DPC Completed Recruitment Candidates of Police Constable, Male 2016”. However, the Manipur high court has given an order related to result declaration by June 5. Till the time of posting this report, the state government has not given any assurance regarding result declaration.
