With the help of a recent Press Release, Kangleiapak Kanba Lup, Manipur has condemned Indian Government’s way of dealing border issues between India and neighbouring countries.
As per this release, border pillar 81 should be placed on the eastern side of Manjet Lok, Kwatha Khunou and this is clearly mentioned in the Boundary agreement between India and Burma.
It also condemned the act of Revenue minister as the minister has asked villagers to show proof documents. The documents should be at the hands of the government. These land ownerships are not given to the villagers of Kwatha Khulen and Kwatha Khunou;
As per the press release, the organisation also appealed CM to showcase documents publically regarding the position of this pillar. A resurvey of the border should be made to decide one defined borderline; otherwise, the Act East Policy of India may get affected.
