As per a renowned news agency, India has invited US President, Donald Trump to be the chief guest at next year’s Republic Day Parade. However, the Indian government is still awaiting an official response regarding this invitation. As per the government, Trump administration is favourably considering the invite sent by India in April this year.
However, reply over this invite is quite unpredictable. But, Trump’s presence here will be promisingly more dramatic than the one by his predecessor Barack Obama.
Barack Obama was a first R-Day guest in 2015 for Modi Government.  The government pursuing the invite to Trump with great determination is also shows it’s belief that the differences with the US are insurmountable. Well, confirmation of US president visit will also help be helpful to Modi Government to control the tide of recent foreign policy criticism and might benefit them in the general elections as an added incentive for the government.
