There will be no impact of recent split between BJP and NPF over the coalition government in Manipur.  State BJP general secretary N Nimbus Singh has confirmed this on this Sunday. In the Manipur assembly, this coalition government is having two-third majority. BJP has 30 MLAs out of 40 legislators. One MLA is from LJP and One independent. NPP and NPF have four – four MLAs.
Three NPF MLAs – Khasim Vashum, Awangbow Newmai and K Leishiyo were appointed as parliamentary secretaries before their posts were discontinued in 2017. These three are considered as loyal ones of their leader Nagaland chief minister TR Zeliang. Another MLA from NPF, Losii Dikho holds the public health and engineering department, printing and stationery department.
State BJP general secretary N Nimbus Singh said, “Nagaland political twist will not be a threat to the current coalition structure in Manipur.” In Nagaland, NPF part ways with the BJP.” Nimbus further added, “Here, none of the parties has any issue regarding political split in Nagaland. We strongly believe in the coalition government in Manipur and this one will run smoothly without having any sort of hard feelings.”
State president has added that state’s BJP workers have been assisting BJP candidates in Tripura.  We had deputed two to three workers for each BJP candidate in Tripura. BJP legislators and ministers from Manipur will also join the campaign in Meghalaya and Nagaland. He also shared that party’s vice-president Sh Premananda Sharma is also assisting the campaign in Meghalaya.
