Yesterday, CM was at the inauguration ceremony of Shija Expands for Technology, Safety, Volume, Vision and Value System at the complex of Shija Hospitals and Research Institute, Langol in Imphal West. While addressing the gathering, he pointed out that the issue of Indo-Myanmar Border Pillar No. 81 should be sorted out by having a discussion at a proper forum. There is nothing to panic as the state government is committed to facilitating solving the problem amicably.
Tengnoupal deputy commissioner Abujam Tombikanta was the first one who had flashed that pillar 81 was erected at least 3km inside Indian Territory. A ministerial team led by revenue minister Karam Shyam also visited the Border Pillars on the Indo-Myanmar Border to ascertain the factual ground position of the alleged recently erected subsidiary border pillars. After this visit, he declared that there is no change at the border.
On this same issue, Manipur People’s Party president O. Jugindro said that state government ministers and their team has asked the villagers to produce a document to support their complaint. Is this expected from a government representative? This is really irresponsible for a minister.
